Creative enthusiast and Stephanie Bodine developed BOCAGE to share her lifetime passion for vintage materials and accessories with people just as obsessed with the constant hunt for special, hard to find treasures that make life more beautiful. Elements in the boutique speak to her personal style, but provide endless possibilities for the designer who appreciates extraordinary bits and pieces to work with and knows exactly what to do with them. For over twenty years Stephanie has formally and extensively studied, practiced, and surrounded herself in countless areas of fine art, antiques, decorative craft arts and commercial design, making her an extremely well informed and abundant resource in unusual materials and their application. She has a reputation for becoming excited around unconventional concepts, style, and unusual embellishments that hold the potential to influence any sort of creativity. After having graduated from Parsons School of Design, Stephanie opened her storefront in January 2004 as a sophisticated merge of traditional techniques with edgy innovations inspired by her experiences while living in New York City. Today she operates the shop out of her West Coast studio where she also carries out commissioned design projects as well as her own personal projects and interests. Many seek her intuitive twists on ornamentation to feed into their own boundless talents. In addition to years of teaching jewelry design, papercrafts and sewing techniques Stephanie has also contributed to many forms of informative entertainment, including books and television. |
